Potts Pages - No Greater Love
February 10, 2016
This coming Sunday is Valentine’s Day. We typically think of this as a time to celebrate romantic love and if we don’t have a spouse or someone special in our lives we may decide that Valentine’s day is not for us. But, before we write this holiday off let’s realize that there are many kinds of love and take the opportunity to celebrate them.
Potts Pages - A Month of Writers
February 03, 2016
February is a short month, but when I researched it, I found that there are many important things to take note of this month. The month as a whole is Black History Month, National Heart Month and Dental Health month just to name a few. Of course, we have the holidays of Groundhog’s Day, Valentine’s Day and President’s Day to celebrate.

Who do you work for? Your first instinct might be to give me your boss’ name or if you are a writer you might tell me that you work for yourself but is that as far as it goes?
Potts Pages - Dealing With the Daily
January 20, 2016
I try to give credit where credit is due. The quote, “Life gets daily” is one that I have heard somewhere over the years. If I could remember where I would give the wise person who said it credit. Even though it is not an original thought, it is one that comes to mind often.
Potts Pages - Fan the Flame

Winter is approaching. Many of you have already seen significant snow. In my neck of the woods, we have only had a dusting of snow, but we have had some cold temperatures.

When we get cold, physically it’s uncomfortable, and we start finding ways to get warm. We pull out the blankets, turn up the heat or maybe even light a fire.

Potts Pages - 16 Reasons to Write in 2016
January 05, 2016
This week’s topic is not just for those of us who consider ourselves writers. Writing is a form of communication, so there are many good reasons to write whether you are communicating with God, others or yourself.

What do you think about when you are putting away the Christmas decorations? Hopefully, you are flooded with good memories of celebrating with family. But, other thoughts can flood our minds as well. Does it ever cross your mind that you spend a lot more time putting them up and taking them down than you do enjoying them?
Potts Pages - A Christmas Poem
December 23, 2015
I wrote this poem a few years ago. I hope it reminds you of the real reason for the season. I wish all of you a blessed Christmas!
Potts Pages - Heavenly Peace
December 15, 2015
We think of Christmas as a joyous time, and it is. It is when we celebrate the birth of our Savior. In recent times, it seems more and more people are having problems keeping that joy intact with all the tragedies and problems that we are facing.
Potts Pages - Meet P.K.
December 08, 2015
This week I would like to introduce you to another wonderful children’s author and illustrator. Although, I have never met P.K. personally, we have mutual friends and have become fast friends thorough Facebook. His children’s books so beautifully talk to children on their level.
Potts Pages - Gifts Without a Bow
December 01, 2015
As December begins, so do holiday traditions. One of those traditions for me, as for most people, is watching Christmas movies. Yes, they are sappy, feel good forms of entertainment but they can also teach us some important lessons. There are always great new movies coming out, but you can’t beat the classics. One of my favorites is “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Potts Pages - Bread and More
November 24, 2015
Happy Thanksgiving! We are so blessed, and we have so much for which to be thankful. We are lavished with abundance.

The Lord’s Prayer says, “Give us this day our daily bread.” In America, when we say “daily bread” we mean, three meals, two snacks and an occasional add-a-dish. We are so richly blessed with abundance and variety when it comes to food.

Potts Pages - Meet Michelle
November 13, 2015
This week I want to introduce you to my friend and mentor, Michelle Medlock Adams. Michelle is a gifted writer who has written numerous books for both children and adults. I met her a few years back at the Kentucky Christian Writers Conference. We became fast friends and she has been a wonderful encourager to me and I am one of her biggest fans.
