Potts Pages - Through the Eyes of Love
February 18, 2016
When my daughter was small, she enjoyed painting with watercolors. One particular picture caught my attention and I framed it and hung it on the wall.
Years past and she grew into a teenager she asked why I framed the picture. She said it was just marks on a page. I told her that I thought it looked like an angel. Did she intend it to be an angel? Probably not. But, I saw it as an angel because I looked at it with the eyes of love.
Not everything we do, even with the best intentions, will be a masterpiece. Even the things that we do for the Lord will not always come out as we planned. Sometimes, we may not even have a plan. We may just be doing all we know to do. Our works will still be beautiful to our Heavenly Father because He looks at our works with eyes of love.
He knows the intentions of our heart, and he sees us using the gifts and talents that he has given us. God is especially proud of his children when he sees us loving and helping others. God knows that by loving others, we are showing our love for him. We may not win an award, but we will not go unnoticed either. God promises us that he sees and remembers even if no one else does.

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." (Hebrews 6:10) (NIV) Sue
