Did you have fun unwrapping your Christmas gifts? Did you unwrap with wonder and expectation at what might be in that beautifully wrapped package? We still have one more gift to unwrap, or depending on how you look at it, 365 gifts.

The New Year or more specifically, each new day is a gift from our Heavenly Father. I am going to strive this year to look at it with great expectations. It is packed full of potential, and I want to capture all it has to offer.

I know that not everything that happens this year will be good. This year could hold devastation for some of us, but dwelling on that will not change it. We are promised that nothing will touch us that is not filtered through the loving hands of God and that he will work all things for our good.

So, let’s focus on the positive and start each day with hope and great expectation at the wonderful things that lie ahead for us this year!  I encourage you to keep a record this year of all the things that God does for you and through you this year. So that we can give him the glory he deserves. HAPPY 2020!
